Bill Cilker Jr.

After graduating Cal Poly with a degree in Agri-Business and time in the Peace Corps., Bill Jr. joined Cilker Orchards in 1972 working as an Orchard Manager. In 1987 Bill was promoted to Vice President where he successfully oversaw Cilker’s property improvement and management initiatives. Bill retired from day to day responsibilities in 2019 but remains active as an owner of the management company and certain investment properties.

Elizabeth Cilker Smith

Like her siblings, Elizabeth Cilker Smith grew up during the development of the family business. After graduating college she earned a Masters in Education. Later, she joined Cilker in 1991 and contributed greatly to capital intensive projects including building design, leasing, and landscape. Elizabeth is the former President of the Los Gatos Rotary. She believes that beauty enriches human experience and drives property value. Elizabeth retired in 2017 and from the board in 2023 but remains an active owner in the management company and various properties.

Carl Cilker

Carl graduated from Cal Poly in 1975 with a degree in Agri-Business. After a five year term at Farm Machinery Corporation (FMC), Carl joined the family business in 1981. Under his leadership, Carl oversaw much of the finance, accounting, leasing and development requirements of the company. He was integral in the redevelopment of Cornerstone Shopping Center and One Pearl Place apartments as well as over 1200 acres of agriculture. Carl became CEO and President in 2013. He currently serves on various industry related boards and non-profits. In 2019, Carl resigned after 38 years and passed the torch onto the next generation. He continues leadership at the board level as well as an active investor.

Noelle Cilker Henderson

Through her career, Noelle contributed and supported Cilker in different ways. Early on, she worked in various supportive capacities within the company. Later, she joined and led the board development and governance efforts. Subsequently, Noelle became Board Chair and led the company and board during a complicated generational transition. Noelle retired from the board in 2020 but continues as an owner of the management company and in various investment properties.

Keyston Smith
CEO and President
Keyston is an experienced executive and business leader who thrives on creative problem solving and building teams that work. Prior to joining Cilker, Keyston spent thirteen years in various construction business and project roles including Director of Operations, and Sr. Construction Project Manager for Seattle based general contractors. Keyston joined Cilker in 2013 as VP of Commercial Real Estate where he oversaw all leasing, management, and construction activities. During this time he was instrumental in the successful rezoning and disposition of a 68-acre agriculture property in north San Jose to Microsoft. Promoted five years later, he has the pleasure of overseeing a $400 million dollar portfolio of real estate assets including retail, multifamily, office, and agricultural investment properties. While at the helm, Keyston has managed the transition from second to third generation, significantly contributed to Board development and governance, and built a talented team who have streamlined workflow, operations, and accounting systems.

Shaun Seidel is a global executive with 20 years of finance and accounting experience.  His experience includes agribusiness, vineyard/winery, CPG manufacturing, real estate, healthcare, food & beverage, and biotech.  Since Shaun joined Cilker, he has shown his acuity in managing high-growth, multi million dollar operations of substantial impact, reaching business and profit goals with corporate financing strategies, cost control, and technical solutions. He has deep expertise in strategic planning, financial management, financial reporting, budgeting; consolidations; financial modeling; cost accounting; corporate strategy; treasury; business analytics and process improvement.

Art Hutcheson
VP of Agriculture
Art Hutcheson manages and oversees multiple orchards with experience growing citrus, almonds, walnuts, and olives.  As the head of our agricultural operations, Art manages all facets of the farm from planting, irrigation, pest control, soil analysis, management of the operation, regulatory compliance, water allocation, and organic compliance.  As a 5th generation farmer, he is proficient in the repair, construction, and adaptation of equipment and machinery involved in the production and harvest of crops.

Mary C. Egan
CPM, Vice President of Real Estate
Mary joined Cilker Orchards in 2018 and brings solid leasing, asset management, and third-party property management experience to Cilker. Specializing in retail shopping centers, Mary has managed over 1MM sf of office, industrial and retail space over the course of her career. Since joining Cilker, Mary has leveraged her contacts, financial expertise and in-depth industry knowledge to oversee the management of our office, retail and multi-family portfolio. Her fine attention to detail and depth of experience is a real asset to our clients.
